Former KILL II THIS bassist Caroline Campbell has slammed the remaining members of the band after her surprising exit from the group two months ago. In a letter to the UK magazine Metal Hammer, Campbell — who her ex-bandmates claim left he band due to 'personal, professional and musical differences' — has expressed anger at the way KILL II THIS have explained away her departure.

...

'I've spent three years pouring my heart and soul into [guitarist] Mark Mynett's band and I feel deeply hurt that our professional relationship has ended this way. The statement suggests that it was my attitude and conduct that lead to the split. This is completely misleading. I very definitely quit KILL II THIS. I distinctly remember the words 'fuck' and 'you'. If they wish to maintain the façade that they're not a one-man band, that's up to them. However, when it was pointed out to me that Mark Mynett recorded all the bass parts to our last album while I believed I was recording the very same parts in an adjacent room, I decided enough was enough. The only reason I can see for deceiving me in such a ruthless and hurtful way is to maintain some kind of megalomaniacal control over the band.'

According to melodicrock.com, the events leading up to singer Jorn Lande and drummer John Macaluso leaving the YNGWIE MALMSTEEN tour prior to the Clevelend, Ohio show on Sunday, April 8th were more complicated and less complimentary towards the Swedish guitarist than Yngwie's offical press release would have everyone believe, with Lande reportedly not having been paid his salary for the last few weeks of the tour, thereby leaving the singer no way to get home. Luckily, he managed to arrange a flight for himself to Florida, where he is staying until today, Thursday, April 12th, before flying home to Norway on a flight booked by his record company (for Jorn's solo project),Now &amp Then / Frontiers Records.

...

As previously reported, Jorn was stranded this past weekend at the Canadian border with Mats Olausson after the tour manager did not process visas and work permits for Mats or Jorn in time for the Toronto show, thereby preventing the pair from crossing the border to play the gig. The tour manager was subsequently fired, and his mother-in-law (!?) is reportedly now undertaking the role. Moreover, according to melodicrock.com, drummer John Macaluso had recently broken two of his fingers, with doctors advising him he should not be playing at all. But, he had been continuing the tour without getting his money either and also despite not having a hotel room arranged for him in New York. John complained, but as John is from New York, [Yngwie and the tour manager] didn't see the need for a room for him and suggested he should drive the 2 hours out of town to his family home despite being told by the doctor to do nothing other than play drums.

W.A.S.P.'s latest studio album, Unholy Terror, entered the official German charts at position #88.

SILVERCHAIR has completed a weekend of recording demos near their hometown of Newcastle, Australia. According to the group's official web site,&nbsp 'live in the studio' recordings of nine brand new songs were completed, including versions of the two new songs debuted at Falls Festival and Rock in Rio, currently titled 'Hollywood' and 'One Way Mule'. Seven other new compositions by Daniel Johns were also recorded. All tracks are being forwarded to producers currently being considered by the band for the actual recording of the new album which is expected to begin in the coming months. No release dates have yet been scheduled.

RAVEN bassist/vocalist John Gallagher has posted the following account of the band's appearance at this past weekend's Metal Meltdown Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey:

“hey!! thanks to all that came to asbury park and braved the cold, the rain &amp the god-awful death metal to see us on saturday!! heres a brief synopsis of the event...

we drove up late on saturday, remembering the endless hours of having to listen to the 'UUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRR' of too many cookie monster imitators/death metal vocalists.. after the obligitory confusion of 'where to park the van?' and 'where do we get our passes?' we got set up in our dressing room in time to catch some of primal fear's set -&nbsp very impressive...dare i say 'priest-like' (never a bad thing in my book!) and the audience were enjoying them immensely! we got to hang out with our old mates anvil and also caught exciter on stage, another cool set! eventually it was our turn to scramble &amp set up our gear (common backline was shared by all the bands, making changeovers a little easier..) mark discovering none of his shit worked..pissing him off royally...eventually he got his rack happening..we got dressed &amp hit the stage.. we had decided to do a similar set to what we'd been doing last year but snuck a couple of surprises in..we did 'you got a screw loose' for the first time in many years..good excuse for mark to make some very odd noises in the breakdown!! and we did 'part of the machine' from the architect of fear album..1st time we've ever done that live!!! and although (just like everyone else) we had to cut our set by finishing with 'on &amp on' (I only knew we were done for the evening when the lights went up!!!! typical..!) we still kicked ass, the audience was excellent &amp appeared to be the largest of the night...in contrast to the 1999 metalfest, the rock bands had more people watching them that the death metal bands - a very good sign!!! we watched our mates anvil deliver a killer set...and then loaded up our gear and headed to the hotel!!! cheers, john
